Businesses across West Cheshire and North Wales could benefit from a fully funded, high quality student placement for five weeks.
Work Based Learning has formed a successful part of the University of Chester undergraduate curriculum for over 20 years and the University is proud of the partnership it has developed with numerous local SMEs, national and international employers.
As part of their second year undergraduate studiestheir students have the opportunity to complete a 5-week unpaid work placement.
The University of Chester are seeking high quality companies who would be willing to offer opportunities totheir students this year from 8th May - 8th June 2012 (143 hours minimum) at no cost to you.
They have students studying a range of BA/BSc degree programmes including Accounting & Finance, Business, Marketing, Events Management, Multimedia Technologies, Law etc
The students have a good knowledge of their subject area and are keen to gain experience in the workplace and enhance their employability upon graduation.

The placement may take the form of a particular project or piece of research, organisation of a special event, production of promotional DVDs or may involve the student in the daily routine and running of an organisation or department.
The details of the placement can be negotiated with the student with the intended outcome that all parties benefit from the experience.
Due to health and safety and assessment requirements we ask that all Placement Providers have business premises.
There is a dedicated Work Based Learning (WBL) Office at the Chester campus to oversee the whole of the placement process together with tutor support throughout the placement.
