Date 30/08/2011

Summary:

Ruth Badger

Members of West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce can look forward to businesswoman, TV personality and 'the best Apprentice candidate ever' Ruth Badger as the star attraction of the Chamber's 2011 Annual Dinner.

Ruth, who finished runner up in the 2006 edition of Lord Alan Sugar's search for an outstanding employee will be on hand to entertain and inspire guests at the glittering annual event, held at Chester's world renowned Grosvenor Hotel on Friday 14th October.

The event will take place at the exclusive Westminster Suite and feature fine dining, as well as highlight the Chamber of Commerce Charitable Fund; a unique scheme that allows businesses in West Cheshire and North Wales to donate to a single fund that is maintained without charge and used to support a host of charities in the region.

Ruth left full time education with three GCSE's aged 16; after joining a youth training scheme she worked for a financial services company and quickly rose through the ranks, being promoted four times in 18 months. Much success followed, before she decided to apply for The Apprentice. Ruth proved an excellent candidate, excelling in all tasks and was later described by The Guardian as 'the best ever'. Despite not winning, she worked in an executive role for Lord Sugar for six months.

She subsequently went on to achieve massive success, fronting her own business troubleshooting show Badger or Bust, working as a mentor on The Big Idea, as well as setting up her own companies Ruth Badger Consultancy Ltd and The Ruth Badger Academy, all before the age of 30!

Tickets for this extremely prestigious event are in high demand and selling fast, at a cost of £50.00 per person. We encourage members to book now to avoid disappointment as spaces are extremely limited. To secure your place, contact the Chamber team on 01244 669988 or email info@cepnwchamber.org.uk.
